We have an extensive range of furniture perfectly suited for sit-down receptions, including dining tables, chairs, tableware and more. Here are some answers to our frequently asked questions when it comes to furniture hire for a sit-down reception.
How many tables will I need?
Our dining tables seat a maximum of 10 guests each, seating 4 guests either side and then one guest at each end. So for 90 guests, you would need a minimum of 9 dining tables. This calculation works for both individual tables, as well as long rows.
Keep in mind that different table layouts may require more tables. For example, if you want a separate bridal table, you will need an additional 2 or 3 tables depending on the size of your bridal party.
You also might not wish to seat guests at the heads of the tables. In this scenario, we recommend working on a maximum of 8 guests per table. So for 90 guests, you would need a minimum of 12 tables.

What chairs will work best for my wedding style?
Deciding on the perfect chair style for your wedding reception comes down to a couple of things - your styling vision and your budget. We have a huge range of chair styles available in white, walnut, black and gold, with materials ranging from timber to wire.
Think about the look and feel you want to achieve for your big day - do you want an earthy, rustic setting? Or something contemporary and fresh? Your chairs will set the scene for the entire wedding so make sure you have defined your wedding vision and choose the perfect chair to suit.

How much should I budget for table and chair hire?
Our dining tables cost between $55 - $75 + GST to hire, while our dining chairs range in price point from $7 - $16.50 + GST.
For a 90 PAX wedding, depending on your chosen furniture styles, we recommend allowing between $1500 - $2000 including GST for your tables and chairs, excluding delivery and pickup costs.
Our delivery and pickup costs are quoted on a case-by-case basis depending on your order but we estimate between $125 - $145 each way for your Ardeena wedding.
COCKTAIL STYLE RECEPTIONS
Our range of furniture for stand-up cocktail receptions includes dry bars, stools, lounge packages, market umbrellas, textiles and more.
Here are some helpful tips to keep in mind when hiring furniture for a cocktail style wedding!
How much furniture do I need for a cocktail style reception?
We recommend allowing enough seats for at least half of your guests at any one time. If you are expecting more elderly guests, you may want to increase this amount.
So for a 90 PAX wedding, we would suggest arranging enough seats for between 45-50 guests at a minimum.
What kind of furniture should I use for my cocktail style reception?
We recommend including a variety of furniture styles like dry bars and stools, lounges and low tables and chairs. A good mix of furniture with both high and low seating helps to create a more visually appealing space, and accommodates for the different ages and needs of your guests.

How much should I budget for cocktail furniture hire?
As a rough guide for a 90 PAX wedding, we recommend allocating between $1800 - $2500 including GST for a mix of cocktail furniture (excluding delivery costs).
