We are spoilt for choice here on the Gold Coast when it comes to stylish resorts and hotels that have a multitude of function rooms for hire. But styling a function room can sometimes require a different approach to styling other purpose-built spaces. Don’t forget that these rooms are designed not just for beautiful weddings but also for corporate events and functions, so the framework of the room is usually a reflection of this.
As proven by The Events Lounge through this amazing setup, there are a few key elements you should focus on in order to transform a function room for a wedding. Here are some of our top tips to keep in mind!
If you’re working with a function room that has patterned carpet tiles, coloured wallpaper or permanent artwork, it’s important to work WITH the space and not against it! You’ll want to avoid any colours or patterns that are going to clash with the foundation of the space.
A great option to avoid any contrasting prints or tones and keep the space looking easy on the eye is through a simple colour palette – think crisp whites, soft greys and fresh greenery which have worked perfectly here to complement the space.
