2022 has officially arrived, which means some exciting new trends are emerging!

From unexpected colour palettes to extravagant bars and lighting installations, it’s safe to say we have some epic celebrations in store for the year ahead.

Read on to see some of the trends we’re loving for 2022, and our top tips for incorporating them into your wedding or event.

Pantone’s Colour of the Year: Very Peri

Pantone’s Colour of the Year for 2022 has been revealed as “Very Peri” – a beautiful periwinkle blue hue with rich violet undertones.

Periwinkle blue works perfectly with warm apricot, peach and pastel tones, so consider creating some contrast with your colour palette. For a bold, modern look, add some black and gold tones to tie it all together.

We’d say this statement shade works best as an accent colour, so try incorporating it through your flowers, linen napkins, cushions and stationery. Our lilac Havana ottomans can also be used to add some periwinkle-inspired colour to your cocktail settings!

Rosy Hues

Earthy tones will continue in 2022, with a focus on warm, rosy hues. We’re expecting to see shades of dusty pinks and caramels mixed with golds, coppers and timbers.

Our tip: Use a neutral base (like our white feasting tables), and build upon this with beautiful layered linens, coloured candlesticks and unstructured florals. For a striking look, pair with our walnut bentwood chairs – or for something more relaxed, use our Indie dining chairs or Oak cross back chairs. Colourful cushions are an easy way to bring these colours into your cocktail styling, too.

Art Deco Influences

Art Deco is back, and we couldn’t be more excited about it! This classic style is all about pairing rich colours with decadent details and glittering metallics.

Bring some Art Deco magic into your wedding or event by using furniture with velvet, marble and wire details. You can also elevate your table settings with our black or gold rim charger plates, decorative crystal glassware and gold-dipped cutlery.

Fun fact: Our entire Milan collection has been inspired by the Art Deco era!

Fairy Light Canopies

Micro-weddings and elopements continue to be a popular choice for 2022 weddings (thanks, COVID!) which means couples are keen to create a memorable dining experience for their guests. Fairy light canopies are a beautiful way to set the tone for your celebration, sitting pretty above long, intimate tables.

Feature Bars

2022 is all about the bar! Go big with your design and incorporate custom details to personalise the bar experience.

To achieve this look, push 2 or 3 of our service bars together to create a feature piece, and use custom decals to add signage to the bar itself (such as quotes, artwork or even your entire drinks list). Complete the look with some statement glassware, an oversized floral arrangement or an epic backdrop.
