Although we regularly feature real weddings on our blog and Instagram feed, it’s not often that we get to show you a behind-the-scenes look at our corporate projects. Which is why we’re so excited to be sharing all of the gorgeous details from our recent Birds of Paradise marquee set-up at the Brisbane Racing Club!

Taking place at Doomben Racecourse, our team was tasked with decking out this 400-pax trackside marquee as part of the 2018 Brisbane Racing Carnival.

We used a modern, eclectic selection of cocktail furniture to fill the space, along with creating custom backdrops and a stylish bar area for guests to enjoy. Some of our favourite cocktail pieces were featured in the design, with a contemporary mix of materials including velvet, marble, bamboo and rattan. The end result was a seriously luxe & comfortable space filled with beautiful pastel tones, earthy textures and statement feature areas.

Kate Robinson Photography was there to capture the entire set-up, so keep reading to see all of the gorgeous details as we walk you through each space!

Our brand new Dune collection made its debut, with our rattan gazebos and modular lounges dressed with a selection of patterned textiles in dusty rose, sage and teal. We also incorporated our new white timber planter boxes, filled with tropical palms to add some fresh greenery into the space.

To create a statement bar area, we custom-wrapped our VJ service bars to give them a bold pop of colour. We also wrapped our new plywood backdrops in a breezeblock-inspired print, and completed the look with our Bahamas bamboo dry bar settings, Icelandic black marble dry bars, round timber dry bars, pallet dry bars, bamboo cafe tables and director chairs – just to name a few!

For a contemporary lounging area, we paired our Bahamas bamboo sofas with our velvet armchairs in blush and teal, along with scattered ottomans and printed cushions to tie the look together. Our Soho wire side tables also added a hint of gold into the setting to create a modern luxe feel.

We had so much fun working on this Brisbane event and think the end result is something pretty spectacular!
