Rattan and velvet are a match made in textural heaven, and work perfectly together for a bohemian-luxe feel. Keep reading as we share our guide to styling with rattan and velvet, including some furniture tips and visual inspiration from recent weddings and events.
It’s all about contrasting earthy tones with rich, bold pops of colour for an eclectic bohemian setting. We love pairing natural shades of rattan with luxurious velvet tones of burnt orange, dusty pink, navy, teal and emerald.
For cocktail styling, our Indie rattan and velvet lounges work beautifully with our Indie bar stools and timber dry bars. For something more subtle, you can add a selection of our velvet cushions to your sofa settings, or scatter our large round velvet ottomans to create casual seating areas around your venue.

The eclectic combination of rattan and velvet works perfectly with wild, bohemian-style blooms. Complete your styling with unstructured arrangements, textural dried foliage and trailing flowers. Pull pops of colour from your velvet furniture into your blooms to create a harmonious “flow” throughout all of your styling.
